How Turkish time limits are counted
For periods expressed in days, the starting day is not counted and the period ends at the close of office hours on the last day. Periods in weeks and months end on the corresponding day. If the last day falls on a weekend or public holiday, the period ends on the next working day.
During the judicial recess (20 July – 31 August) some periods are extended: by one week in civil cases, seven days in administrative cases and three days in criminal cases. Enforcement office, reinstatement and public procurement deadlines are not extended.
