This notice is provided by Candan Hukuk & Danışmanlık Bürosu (Candan Law & Consultancy, the “Firm”) as data controller under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”).

Data we process

When you contact us or instruct us, we may process identity, contact, legal transaction, client transaction and, where necessary, financial data, and depending on the matter special categories of data (such as health reports or criminal records).

Purposes and legal grounds

• Providing legal services and conducting proceedings (performance of contract, legal obligation, establishment, exercise or defence of rights),
• Arranging appointments and correspondence (legitimate interest),
• Complying with record-keeping and reporting obligations (legal obligation).

Transfers

Personal data may be shared only as required by the service with courts, enforcement offices, mediation offices, notaries, public authorities, experts and competent bodies. Transfers abroad (for example, correspondence with a client living abroad) comply with Article 9 KVKK.

Your rights

Under Article 11 KVKK you may ask whether your data is processed, request information, correction or deletion, learn the third parties to whom it was transferred, and claim compensation for damage.
