After a traffic accident, compensation is usually claimed from the compulsory motor liability insurer of the vehicle at fault. Insurers often offer less than the actual loss; the offer should be checked before any release is signed.
We represent injured persons, bereaved families and vehicle owners — including foreign visitors involved in accidents in Türkiye — against insurers and liable parties, and act for companies in recourse claims.

Insurance Arbitration Commission
Traffic accident compensation
Injured persons may claim medical costs, loss of earnings and permanent disability compensation calculated on the disability rate, as well as moral damages from the driver and vehicle owner. The insurer’s liability is limited to the policy limits; amounts above them are claimed from the liable parties.
Diminished value of vehicles
Even after proper repair, a damaged vehicle sells for less. This diminished value can be claimed from the at-fault vehicle’s insurer in proportion to the other party’s fault, based on the difference between pre-accident and post-repair market values.
Motor and property insurance
Disputes under comprehensive motor (kasko), fire, theft and other property policies often turn on exclusions and the insured’s duties to notify. A rejection letter is not the final word — the policy conditions must be read closely.
Insurance Arbitration Commission
The Insurance Arbitration Commission resolves disputes faster than the courts, with fees linked to the amount in dispute. Court actions against insurers are commercial cases and require prior mediation.
Loss of support
When a person dies in an accident, those who depended on them — spouse, children and in some cases parents — may claim loss of support, calculated actuarially, together with funeral costs and moral damages.
Recourse actions
Insurers that have paid a claim, and employers or the Social Security Institution after a work accident, may seek recourse against the liable party. We act on both sides of these claims.
Frequently asked questions
I had an accident while visiting Türkiye. Can I still claim after going home?
Yes. The claim can be pursued through a lawyer acting under a power of attorney; secure the accident report, medical records and photographs before leaving.
