An unsuccessful treatment is not necessarily malpractice. The legal question is whether the treatment met the standard of care and whether the patient was properly informed before consenting.
We represent patients and families — including international patients treated in Türkiye — as well as healthcare professionals in civil, administrative and criminal proceedings.

Medical malpractice
Wrong or late diagnosis, surgical errors, wrong medication and inadequate post-operative care are typical grounds. A known complication that occurred despite proper care, and of which the patient was informed, is not malpractice.
Informed consent
The patient must be told about the diagnosis, the proposed treatment, its risks and alternatives before consenting. Treatment without proper information is unlawful even if performed correctly; generic pre-printed forms are often not enough to prove it.
Cosmetic and dental treatment
In cosmetic and dental procedures, the Court of Cassation applies a stricter standard as to the promised result. Before-and-after photos, messages and advertising promises are important evidence.
Liability of hospitals and the state
For treatment in public hospitals, the state is liable for service fault and claims are brought before the administrative courts after applying to the administration. Private hospitals and doctors are sued together before the consumer courts.
Rights of healthcare professionals
We defend doctors and other healthcare professionals in malpractice claims, criminal investigations and disciplinary proceedings, and advise on professional liability insurance.
Forensic medicine and expert evidence
Fault is determined by expert boards of the Forensic Medicine Institute or universities. Reports must be checked against the medical records and current literature; objections should be filed within the time given by the court.
